Hello — I’m Amy, and I’m really glad you found your way here.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years trying to “hold it all together” on my own. From the outside, things looked fine. On the inside, I often felt overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure how to navigate the hard parts of relationships and life. Sitting in my first therapy session was both terrifying and relieving — it was the first space where I didn’t have to perform or have the answers.
That experience changed me. It showed me what can happen when someone listens with compassion, curiosity, and respect — and it’s what guides the work I do with clients today.
I now provide telehealth therapy for adults and couples in Texas, Connecticut, and Vermont. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I bring clinical training, lived experience, and a deep belief in people’s capacity to heal and grow. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, patterns, and relationships with care and intention — not pressure or shame.
Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside but struggling internally. They’re thoughtful, caring, and often very hard on themselves. If that resonates, you’re in the right place.
Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes — it’s about understanding yourself more fully, healing what hurts, and creating relationships (with yourself and others) that feel real and safe.
If we’re a good fit, I’d be honored to support you. And if not, I’ll help you find a therapist who is — because your wellbeing matters most.
Background and Expertise
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing telehealth services to adults and couples in Texas, Connecticut, and Vermont. My clinical focus includes:
- Relationship distress and communication difficulties
- Infidelity, trust injuries, and decision-making about the future of a relationship
- Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm
- Trauma and difficult or painful past experiences
- Perinatal mood and anxiety concerns
- Life transitions that feel heavy, uncertain, or destabilizing
My approach is relational and attachment-based. I integrate EMDR, trauma-informed treatment, and Gottman-informed couples therapy, along with other evidence-informed methods. Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your goals, strengths, and lived experience. I aim to provide a grounded, steady presence and to offer both empathy and clear feedback as we work toward the changes that matter most to you.
